.: MY TESTIMONY

The Lord drew me to him. Twelve years ago I was a hardcore atheist. I had questions about my existance but nobody had answers that satisfied me. Then the Lord started bringing people and situations into my life that ultimately broke through my stubborness. From all directions came ministering bodies. I would argue with them vehemently and the next day someone totally unrelated would show up. Finally a friend who was a believer, convinced me to read the book of John. Up to this point I had read the bible and it had never made any sense to me. But I sincerely sat down and prayed to God and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I opened the book of John and read. From the very first verse my eyes were opened. I comprehended everything as if I had been studying it my whole life. To this day John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Is my favorite verse . I also think it says it all in a nutshell. Some of my beliefs are below.

The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; I affirm his virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, ongoing mediatorial work, and personal return in power and glory.

The salvation of lost and sinful humanity is possible only through the merits of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, received by faith apart from works, and is characterized by regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit enables believers to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Church, the body of Christ, consists of all true believers.

Ultimately God will judge the living and the dead, those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
